Sapphire, aka "Saffy", came to Parsons Creek Shepherds in January 2010 when she was 5 years of age. She doing very well, and enjoys tracking smells all over our property. She is 6 years old now, is a very, very high drive girl that is super playful, has an enormous retrieving and play drive, and is never seen without a toy in her mouth. She is also very alpha and confident. Saffy has very good, driving, movement and perfect structure, coupled with a very happy, people friendly temperament, and is gorgeously feminine with out sacrificing substance. She has maintained perfect eye, coat, and pigment coloration despite her age, and her offspring seem to also carry her strong, correct coloration. Sapphire has a very regal quality to her, as can be seen in her pictures. She does alert when strangers come onto the property. When she originally came to us, she had some emotional issues that she has now overcome and has bonded tightly to myself and my older son (she is HIS dog). Being such a high drive girl, a typical kennel situation was not a happy environment for her specific needs. Here at Parsons, Sapphire has lots of space to run, access to our creek (she loves water) and spends her time tracking smells all over the property. Here she gets lots of personal attention which she seems to crave.

On August 29th, 2010 she went Best in Multi Breed Show in Madras, Oregon on her 6th birthday! Sapphire is the first White Shepherd to earn a BIS on the west coast. One month later in September 2010, she earned a Reserve Best in Show. We are very proud of her. Sapphire also produces pups with high drives, superb tracking instincts, and overall excellent conformation and stable, confident temperaments. Sapphire also has offspring with Reserve Best in Show wins, UKC top 10 rankings, and Grand Champion titles. She is a fantastic representation of the WS breed. Herself, and 2 of her offspring ranked UKC Top Ten for 2010- Sapphire ranked #6, her son Pirate ranked #7, and her Daughter Darla ranked #9.

On June 19, 2011 Sapphire earned her Grand Champion title. She is now retired from the show ring. Her daughter, Darla, will continue as the ultimate progeny produced by her mother and will continue to improve our breed with her perfect conformation and correct temperament through her own offspring.
